A group of Muslim men attacked a Hindu owned restaurant named “Ma Randhuni Hotel & Restaurant” located in the front end of Mouchak Market in capital Dhaka city. The attackers introduced themselves as BNP Party leaders and “Student Coordinators” that ousted the previous Hasina government. They looted cash from the store, beat the older Datta and demanded that the Hindu owners leave the restaurant uttering threats “Son of Malaun” (Malanun is a derogatory name of Hindu people by Muslims), how dare you, you still not leaving the store!”

The attack was videoed and published by Channel i News Bangladesh.

Victims: Business owner Sunil Kumar Datta and family of Ma Randhuni Hotel & Restaurant. All Hindu people of Bangladesh.
