Shantanveshwari Matrimandir Hindu Temple, shops, and houses vandalized in Chattogram

Shantanveshwari Matrimandir, a Hindu Temple, along with a few Hindu shops and houses were attacked in Chattogram City Patharghara area.

According to Bangladesh Police and eyewitnesses, a procession by local Muslims marched towards Patharghata through Kotwali intersection of Chattogram city at around two o’clock on Friday, November 29. At one point, some people from the procession broke the main gate and entered the Shantanveshwari Matri Mandir located on Hareshchandra Munsef Lane.

Tapan Das, a permanent member of Shantanveswari Matrumandi management committee, told Prothom Alo that a few Hindu shops and houses around the temple were also attacked and vandalized along with the temple.
