On Monday, October 14, 2024, the dead body of a Hindu man Mr. Shree Sukumar Das was found roped from a tree limb. Mr. Das was a caretaker priest (সেবায়েত) of the Hindu temple named Sompara Loknath Temple located in Barbakund Union No. 5 under Sitakunda police station (Thana) of Chittagong District. His dead body was found in the same area.

The dead body’s right foot is standing on the ground as well as the toes and the heel of the left foot are on the ground. This shows that the victim was murdered and then the dead body was hanged to the tree. This is clearly a HOMICIDE case as both feet of the dead man are on the ground.
