In the early morning hour of Saturday, January 25, 2025, the dead body of 35-year young Hindu man named Animesh Sarkar, a husband and a father of two very young children, was discovered hanging from a Neem tree (large tree). Animesh’s family pointed out that his body was hung from the tree after the terrorists murdered him. They pointed out that Sarkar’s body and feet were smeared with mud. Animesh’s son is just 4 year old and daughter just 8 month old.
Son of Niranjan Sarkar, Animesh was a bicycle mechanic by occupation and a married man. Like any other day, Animesh went to work in his bicycle shop located in the local market on the previous day which was Friday, January 24. He did not return home at night. The anxiety gripped family discovered his dead body very early in the morning the next day.
The police recovered and sent the dead body for autopsy. A probe has been initiated into the matter. An apparent murder is suspected by Bangladesh police as a possible suicide or murder.
NOTE: Hindu religious minorities represent only 7.95% of Bangladesh population but they are victims of disproportionately large number of violent attacks. Extremist Muslims with direct support from Dr. Muhammad Yunus government have been violently attacking Hindus across the country since August 5, 2024. Bangladesh Police force has seldom arrested any of the thousands of perpetrators who represent the majority 91% population. Police force and Military force are also directly attacking, arresting, and imprisoning Hindus with support from the Judiciary victimizing the victims further.
