In the evening of Sunday, January 11, 2026,\u00a0an auto-rickshaw driver was hacked to death and his vehicle was highjacked i<\/span>n Daganbhuiyan Upazilla in Feni District of Bangladesh.\u00a0<\/span>The incident occurred during the night in the area adjacent to Muhuribari in South Karimpur of the upazila.\u00a0The murdered auto-rickshaw driver was identified as 28-year old Samir Kumar Das, a young Hindu man.<\/strong> He was the son of Kartik Kumar Das of the Jele Bari (fisherman’s house) in Ramanandpur village of Matubhuyan Union.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to police and local residents, Samir had been earning his livelihood by driving a battery-operated auto-rickshaw for a long time. As Samir did not return home as usual on Sunday night, his relatives started searching for him in various parts of the city.\u00a0<\/span>At one point, they also informed the police about the matter. Around 2 AM, local people found Samir’s bloodied body near Muhuribari in Dakshin Karimpur. Upon receiving the news, the police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Feni General Hospital.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The officer-in-charge (OC) of Daganbhuiyan Police Station, Muhammad Faizul Azim, said that the police were working to uncover the real cause of the incident. According to the OC Mr. Azim,\u00a0<\/span>all aspects were being investigated to determine whether this was a murder committed with the intention of stealing an auto-rickshaw, or if there was some other motive behind it. The victim’s family has filed a case regarding this incident.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is very concerning that the police focused their investigation to determine the motive of the murder instead of identifying and arresting the MURDERERS. This is the unfortunate reality of Islamic Bangladesh. Police, military, and Judiciary dismiss the rampant violence against the Hindu religious minorities. A lot of times, the police threaten the victims further and even arrest the local Hindus terrorizing the victims further. Clearly, the government has been directly encouraging Muslims to attack Hindus in Dr. Muhammad Yunus led Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

We urge the leaders of the Western countries to save Hindus who are completely helpless as the violence against them being perpetrated by the Government.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are thousands and thousands of men who are auto-rickshaw drivers by profession across Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, 91% population is Muslim and only 8% population is Hindu by religion. Statistically more than 9 Muslim auto-rickshaw drivers should be hacked to death for each Hindu auto-rickshaw driver hacking if these attacks were not targeted towards Hindus. However, it was a youth HINDU auto-rickshaw driver who was murdered instead of any Muslim drivers and this is not the first time Hindu auto driver murdered by local Muslims.<\/p>\n

In reality, Hindus are primarily the victims of these rampant violent attacks and murders that have become almost a daily routine across Bangladesh since August 2024. These violent attacks and murders of Hindu people routinely receive muted response from the country’s law enforcement and law implementation authorities, or worse Hindu minorities are further attacked and victimized by the Police, Military, and Judiciary.<\/p>\n

Even if the local Police show up at the crime scene, they often come up with some sort of justification of the violence favoring the attackers or dismiss as possible suicide instead of homicide. The statistically misaligned attacks are categorically directed towards Hindus which are undoubtedly planned attacks. The silence of the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus led Bangladesh Government is a clear approval to the majority Muslims to act increasingly violently towards Hindu people.<\/p>\n
