{"id":167,"date":"2018-04-03T04:42:25","date_gmt":"2018-04-03T04:42:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hrcb.org\/?p=167"},"modified":"2018-04-03T04:43:04","modified_gmt":"2018-04-03T04:43:04","slug":"minority-leaders-demand-pm-intervention-to-trace-rangpur-pp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hrcb.org\/index.php\/minority-leaders-demand-pm-intervention-to-trace-rangpur-pp\/","title":{"rendered":"Minority leaders demand PM intervention to trace Rangpur PP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Minority community leaders demanded\u00a0<\/strong><strong>immediate<\/strong><strong>\u00a0intervention of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to find out special public prosecutor Rathish Chandra Bhowmik of Rangpur, who remains missing since March 30.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will block the main roads in all districts of Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions for an hour from 10:00am on April 7,\u201d Rana Dasgupta, general secretary of Bangladesh Hindu Bouddha Christian Oikyo Parishad, said at a press conference at Jatiya Press Club in Dhaka today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will observe the same programme on the same time in all divisional headquarters to intensify the pressure on the government to rescue Rathish,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>On March 30, Bangladesh Hindu\u00a0Bouddha\u00a0Christian Oikyo Parishad from a human chain in Dhaka gave the government a 24-hour ultimatum to find out Rathish Chandra.<\/p>\n<p>The administration failed to rescue Rathish within the given time, Rana said adding, \u201cThey (the administration) surprisingly remain silent which made us more concerned\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe suspect that religious fanatics abducted him (Rathish) to create panic among the minority communities.
