HRCB Condemns the “killing of citizen” and use of “excessive force” on citizen by Bangladesh Army on July 16, 2025 in Gopalganj, Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

According to news reports, at least 4 people were shot dead. Unconfirmed reports put the number to much higher. Those dead bodies were cremated without autopsy or proper investigation by the authorities.<\/p>\n

We expect the Bangladesh Army to protect its own citizen, but they used lethal weapons on citizen. We ask The United Nations to investigate Gopalganj incident throughly. How can this Army employed by UN while they can’t protect own people?<\/p>\n
