The body of a retired college teacher was recovered from his residence in the Boro Bazar area of Netrakona district town.<\/p>\n
Police discovered the body on Friday at around 11:30am from under a bed in the teacher\u2019s house.<\/p>\n
The deceased was identified as Dilip Kumar Roy, 66, a retired teacher of the Agriculture Department at Abu Abbas Degree College in Netrakona district town.<\/span><\/p>\n The information was confirmed by Additional Superintendent of Police and Netrakona police spokesperson Lutfor Rahman.<\/span><\/p>\n Following the incident, both the district police and the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) have launched an investigation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n According to police and locals, Dilip Kumar Roy\u2019s wife, Niva Rani Saha, had been staying at her son\u2019s house in Dhaka for a few days.<\/span><\/p>\n During this time, he was alone at home.<\/span><\/p>\n On Friday morning around 10am, Niva returned to find the main gate of the house locked.<\/span><\/p>\n With the help of locals, she entered the house and discovered the inner grille gate also locked.<\/span><\/p>\n After breaking the lock, they found her husband\u2019s body lying under the bed.<\/span><\/p>\n Upon receiving the information, police recovered the body and sent it to Netrakona Modern Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.<\/span><\/p>\n Additional Superintendent of Police Lutfor Rahman said that there were injury marks on the victim\u2019s head.<\/span><\/p>\n Considering the injuries and the surrounding circumstances, preliminary investigations suggest that Dilip Kumar Roy was murdered.<\/span><\/p>\n
